In Lego Animation, you will introduced to Stop Motion Animation and learn the techniques which make movies like the Lego Movie possible! Teams will be split up and given access to a plethora of Lego blocks, craft supplies, and corner studios to bring their imagination to life. Each team will also receive a tablet to film their Lego Movie on.
Teams will be required to allocate roles to each member, including Project Director, Script Writer, Scenery and Model Maker, and Photography and Production. With everyone’s unique talents combined, the team will have the freedom to create their very own stop-motion animated Lego movie masterpiece!
Throughout the activity, teams will have to work together to brainstorm ideas, create a script, design and build their Lego sets, and take hundreds of photographs to make their movie come to life. The best part? The finished Lego movies will be screened at the end of the activity, giving each team the opportunity to show off their creative flair and celebrate their hard work. Movies will be judged based on all round creativity and the winning team will receive winners medals.
