If you’re looking for a bit of advice on how to survive a Stag Do, you have come to the right place. We will go through the most important things when surviving a Stag Do. Heading off on a Stag is always a lot of fun, but sometimes things can get a little out of hand. Whether you’re drinking a bit over your limit or dancing on too many tables, it’s important to stay alert wherever the night takes you! Here are our top tips for How To Survive A Stag Do.

1. Set Boundaries

Boundaries

It can be easy to get caught up in the fun of the night, but it’s important to set some clear boundaries so no one crosses the line. It’s a good idea that everyone knows exactly what’s in store for the night ahead. But don’t worry, the Stag won’t get a say in this; so be sure to do as much damage to them as possible. It may also be handy to have your phone at the ready whenever the Stag is getting a few drinks in. As the chances are… they will probably end up doing something very stupid!

2. Eat a lot of food

 Eat a lot of food

Before you start your night out, it’s important to eat a good meal before you head out for the night. You don’t want to be drunk off your first two beers before the night has even truly started. Or maybe you want to take that sacrifice for the group and set the drinking pace for the Stag. It is the ‘last night of his life’ so you will want to make sure he enjoys it! Even if he can’t remember it.

3. Don’t drink too fast

Don’t drink too fast

It can be easy to get carried away with drinking. And you may feel like you need to keep up with the rest of the group, but don’t feel pressure to down every pint. Take your time with it, at the end of the day, it’s your night out too. We’re sure everyone in the group will be grateful to have someone not as intoxicated as them!

4. Pace yourself

Pace yourself

In between all the alcohol, it might be worth switching to a soft drink or water every so often to help maintain a light buzz throughout the night. If you’re worried about appearances you can always order a Coke, as none will ever know it’s not a Vodka Coke!

5. Eat some more

Eat some more

We’ve all been there. Getting out of a club at 3 am still very much awake and still very much intoxicated. Then heaven hits… you see the glorious kebab van parked up. It’s important to give into these urges as it allows you to sober up before bed…or, if you’re staying out, allows you to go onto the next place and not be refused entry! Just don’t spill it down you and end up looking like a mess!

6. Don’t mix your drinks

Don’t mix your drinks

It’s recommended to not mix your drinks on a night out. This is especially the case with Stag Dos, which are famous for mixing shots, beer, and more. To help avoid a hangover and avoid getting too drunk too fast, we recommend sticking to one or two types of drinks for the night. As well as eating something before the night out. Or if you want to stop that hangover and still get sloshed then be sure to eat something before and after the night out. Even if this is a greasy pop-up food van (which we all know is glorious when intoxicated!)

7. Don’t be afraid to say no

Don’t be afraid to say no

It’s very easy to become a yes person when on a night out, but it’s important to say no to things you don’t want to do. It’s okay to miss out on a round of drinks, and it’s okay to say no to any weird dares that the group might come up with. Don’t be afraid to say no to things that you aren’t comfortable with. Be sure to set these boundaries before the night to save any unecessasary worrying so the drinking can begin!

8. Keep a stash of headache tablets ready for the morning

Keep a stash of headache tablets ready for the morning

Before you leave for your Stag do, make sure you put headache tablets on your packing checklist. You’ll be happy to have them the morning after your night out. As well as a large bottle of water by your bed and a bucket. Better safe than sorry the next morning. As well as everyone meeting up the next day, if you do choose to stay abroad, have a bit of a head count as no one wants to re-enact The Hangover and end up missing!

These are just a few of our top tips to help reduce a mega hangover and minimize decisions you regret. We hope that you have a happy and safe stag night out.
