ON THE DAY 

The Cornish Challenge is Newquay’s answer to the Highland Games. Get some proper banter going amongst your group by competing in The Cornish Challenge, a competitive contest perfect for stag and hen weekends. You’ll pit your wits against each other in California-style beach games that include surf and lifeguarding skills on the sands of Fistral Beach. Your group will be split into 2 teams then flexing muscles and brain cells, yes – you’ll need both – you’ll take part in a paddle relay race, Tug ‘o’ war, the surfboard tunnel challenge, a lifeguard’s flag sprint, beach volleyball and Aqua Targets, a game that tests your throwing skills and nerve. Open to non-swimmers, no prior skills are required apart from the will to win!

WHATS INCLUDED

• Meet and greet at Newquay Activity Centre with your guides.
• Enrolment and allocation team vests. (During colder months wetsuits will be provided)
• Suit up in our heated changing rooms with safe storage for valuables.
• Safety talk for the whole party.
• Two hours of games, challenges and banter!
• All our stag/hen weekends include a bottle of bubbly to celebrate

NEED TO KNOW 

• All you will need to bring with you is swimwear, towel, shorts & t-shirt and a pair of lace up trainers.
• You may wish to bring a change of clothes as the shorts and t shirt are likely to get wet and sandy during the session.
• If you will be joining us during the warmer months then we recommend bringing along some sun cream.
